Dr. Pete Langegger

DVM

Veterinarian

I was born and raised in Vail, Colorado. My passion for working with animals started from an early age. At 14 years old I began working in the kennels at a local veterinary hospital for a veterinarian who later became my mentor.

I did my undergraduate studies at Kansas State University, with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and Industry. After earning my degree I went on to veterinary school in 2002 I graduated from Kansas State University with an emphasis in companion animal medicine. After earning my DVM, I returned to Vail to work with my mentor as an associate veterinarian. I worked alongside my mentor where I medically managed two veterinary practices.

Within those first two years of practicing medicine, I planned, designed, built, and in 2004, opened my own veterinary hospital in a small rural town in Silt, Colorado, just down the road from Vail. I practiced and owned the hospital for 15 years before deciding to move with my wife and mother-in-law to Casa Grande, AZ, and joined Coolidge Veterinary Hospital in 2017.

In my spare time, I work along side my wife caring for our many horses, dogs and farm animals.
